Honestly, if people saying things to you on a game make you sad/angry/raged/upset/irritated/whatever, I'd suggest playing Single Player games. This is the intarwebz and people say mean things.

Best way to make a 'troll' go away, is to troll him right back, 99% of the time I end up on their ignore list, not the other way around.

Again its always about what people say, its about how many times they say it. Spamming can get very annoying very quick, and I mean to the point to where I cant even see guild/ally chat anymore.

Who are you to tell us what we should deal with?
Nobody thats who.
If theres 50 slots or so then atleast we should be able to choose how those slots are used.
Meaning if I want 10 on friends list and 40 on ignore then I should be able to.
I am pretty selective when it comes to people I put on friends list because too many people are like those here on gwg...assholes which makes me want more ignores than friend slots.

And if people care so much to wait for you to appear online every day of their lives, try dropping the pompous carebear attitude to make players even more sensitive than you hate you with such a burning obsessive passion. Although i seriously doubt that.
So youd be mad if anet added this? cuz obviously you seem really against the idea

/unsigned, If you are ignoring more then ten people then your probably not playing the game right. If you want to ignore people then just go into offline mode. /signed increase friends list by the way.

EDIT: damn snaek beat me to it ><.

Don't make so much enemies at once lol. You don't need to have someone on ignore for so long. If a person was on ignore for a week, I don't think (s)he would even bother to try to contact you anymore. If you need to ignore someone, remove the oldest one from the list to make space for the newest one.

Actually, what I really want changed about ignore list is the stupid ability to PM the person you are ignoring for the sole purpose of annoying them when they try to PM you back. It's quite annoying trying to have type a comeback to someone who insulted you, just to find out they put you on ignore and are still PMing you.

Same goes for Offline and Do Not Disturb.

/signed over 9000. If you don't use ignore list, why are you commenting on an ignore list thread? There's more people than you in this game, and we want a larger ignore list.

/not signed because it makes no sense..

Upon 7 years of playing, i only ignored 3 persons, 2 being account sellers spammers. I don't believe this is really needed, since players aren't that annoying so that you have to ignore 100 players..
Personnaly, if you have to ignore so many players, then you probably have some part of responsibility too...

Besides, ignoring is a joke.. If you whisper the person , you can find out if he's playing or not. If i'm playing on Missing Hb character, the guy i'm ignoring will have " Missing Hb is ignoring you " , whereas if i'm not playing, or on an other character , it will say " Missing Hb is offline " .. You might say i'm crazy, but at least one guy did that to find me when i was PvP'ing with one character...

I don't care about having a bigger ignore list.

What I want is a temporary ignore list.

The current list is enough for the amount of people one could find annoying because they chase you around bothering you. No one should have more than 3 of those anyways.

But then you have traders that do not use the proper channels, and annoying guild spammers, and the guy that keeps asking the same 3 questions about a festival everyone has already clearly answered the first 17 times they asked.

For those, a temporary ignore that won't be saved when you log out would do, and won't require any extra space saved in servers, since the client would keep it like the 'recently in party' and 'recently traded with' automatic lists.
